    Description Transformation of heavy industrial sites into a post-industrial landscape is a big economic and technical challenge, consequently making Brownfield development almost impossible for small and medium-sized municipalities. The Relnd-BBG project aims to mend these challenges by revitalizing existing brownfields for industrial or production-oriented purposes, reducing the construction of new production sites in greenfields, avoiding new land use, sealing of soil and the further loss of biodiversity in the Danube Basin. This can be achieved by facing the significant knowledge gap and capacities among public authorities and business support organizations in the Danube region to guide and accompany owners of brownfields in concept development, management and governance of sites. With this project, we aim to provide the necessary resources, solutions and a transnational roadmap to tackle the region's challenges and needs to provide innovative and sustainable solutions.
